Former Baltimore County Executive and Current School Board Member Roger Hayden Endorses Ryan Nawrocki
Today, former Baltimore County Executive and current Baltimore County School Board Member Roger Hayden endorsed Ryan Nawrocki for Baltimore County’s Sixth Councilmanic District seat.
This endorsement comes after Nawrocki was recently endorsed by Governor Bob Ehrlich, Congressman Andy Harris, and former County Councilman Wayne Skinner.
“Ryan will provide a fresh perspective and new set of ideas for the County Council in order to help Baltimore County Public Schools,” said former County Executive and current school board member Roger Hayden. “His fresh perspective is exactly what we need to put people above politics and help deliver much needed changes to our school system. It’s because of this much needed new approach that I am endorsing Ryan and will be happy for what he can bring to Baltimore County as a member of the Council.”
Roger Hayden was Baltimore County’s last Republican County Executive from 1990 to 1994. He also served on Baltimore County School Board from 1978 to 1987 and was President of the Board for seven years from 1981 to 1987. Since 2017, Hayden has again been serving as a member of the Baltimore County School Board.
“Baltimore County Public Schools have recently been rocked by the indictment of former Baltimore County Schools Superintendent Dallas Dance,” said Ryan Nawrocki. “As a member of the County Council, I’ll call for an immediate independent audit of the entire school system to ensure that our hard-earned tax dollars are being spent effectively and efficiently.”
Nawrocki is dedicated to common sense solutions that will change Baltimore County government. Some of these solutions include: to promote policies to create jobs and grow the local economy, to fight the growing violent crime epidemic in our neighborhoods, reduce school overcrowding, and to oppose property tax increases.
